Dated 1851 probably by Harris the Architect who designed the County Mental
Asylum (qv Hatton parish). Lodge at main gate to the asylum. Red brick with
stone dressings in Jacobean style. Welsh slate roof. Shaped gables with
finials and stone panel containing shield with date 1853 above. Stone quoins.
Two storeys. Stone mullion windows with four-central arch lights and drip-
moulds.
