Church of St Peter

A Grade I Listed Building in Ropsley, Lincolnshire

Sedilia and Easter Sepulchre, Church of St Peter, Ropsley.

Uploader's Comments

The Easter Sepulchre would have originally been accessible, on occasion, by the congregation. Such a feature would not have been built right at the end of the chancel, purely the priests domain. This is what suggests the chancel was shortened in C17. (Photo Aug 2017).
