ST 96 NE HEDDINGTON THE COMMON, Heddington Wick

5/132 Wick Cottage

GV II

Cottage, C15 or C16 extended in C17, painted rubble stone and
timber-frame with concrete tile roof, hipped at north west angle
and with south end stack. Rubble stone south range has heavy
cornerstones and 3-light stone mullion window with hoodmould in
south gable. C20 window below. West side has timber post embedded
in wall. Timber framed north range has some framing exposed on
west end, north side door with dormer over, and brick east end
wall. Within the north range the east end has 2 full cruck trusses
and some windbracing in room above. Heavy jowelled posts to south
side doorway. West end room has 3 heavy beams with broach stops.
