Row of 5 cottages. Mid C19 for Edward Strutt. Red brick with
ashlar dressings. Slate roof. 2 large red brick stacks to the
ridge and to the rear, 2 similar external stacks to the front.
Brick coped gables with kneelers. Set on a plinth. Single
storey plus attic, 11 bays. The single bays fourth from the
right and left project and are gabled. The outer single bays are
gabled. Central segmental arched doorway with plank door.
Either side are single 2 light glazing bar casements, extending
over these 3 bays is a lean-to porch. In the single projecting
bays are single similar 4 light casements. Further left and
right are single porches with pyramidal roofs, brick side walls
surmounted by fixed lights and inner doorways. To the right and
left are single similar 2 light casements with single similar
tripartite casements in the outer single bays. To the right and
left are single similar porches with lights to the front and
entrances to the sides, the right porch lacks glazing. Above are
4 similar tripartite casements. All casements with flush ashlar
quoin surrounds and ashlar mullions.
