Church. 1833-4. Hayley and Brown for the Church
Commissioners. Ashlar with slate roof. 3-sided gallery plan
with central west tower and C20 west extension. 7-bay nave
each bay having stone plinth, weathered buttress (diagonal
at corners) and a lancet window with continuous hoodmould.
Plain gableted corner pinnacles. The original chancel recess
was terminated in octagonal piers with pinnacles, but a
1-bay chancel was added in a similar style with a 3-lancet
east window. 3-stage tower (partly obscured by C20
additions) has a clock opening, lancets to belfry, angled
weathered buttresses and a castellated parapet with corner
pinnacles. 3-sided gallery on octagonal timber columns,
treble-chamfered chancel arch and panelled ceiling.
