House. c.1908-10. Painted pebbledash with brick plinth and stacks; tile hung and timber-framed gables. Roofs of tile. Two storeys. One block parallel to Hampstead Way, to which a smaller wing with two-span roof is attached at an oblique angle, forming a broad V-shaped plan in answer to the corner site. In range between wings an entrance set between brick spur walls that support a timber-framed, gable-facing oriel; plank door and decorative hinges of an original design. To the left a two-light half dormer with bay. Gable-facing, one-window range to Meadway, tile hung to head; shallow canted bay. Double-facing gables to Hampstead Way, each tile hung to heads; broad stack framed by windows. Rear elevation of four-window range plainly visible from Meadway; the arrangement of features on returns and rear serve as transition to intersection and produce a very picturesque silhouette: dormers, bays and a range of materials and finishes. The overall design roughly similar to that of No.113 Hampstead Way (q.v.) to the north, with small-scale features varied. Forms part of a group consisting of No.22 Hampstead Way with Nos. 6, 8 and 10 Meadway (q.v.), Nos. 28 and 28 Hampstead Way with Nos. 5 Meadway (q.v.) , and No.113 Hampstead Way (q.v.) .The design of these four blocks was originally given to M H Baillie Scott, who eventually executed only No.22 Hampstead Way. Nevertheless the units have intrinsic architectural merit and townscape value.
