Three houses with shops. 1836-39 with late C19 alteration.
Orange-grey mottled brick in Flemish bond with timber cornice
and slate roof with brick stacks.
EXTERIOR: 4-storey, 3-bay front, articulated by pilaster
strips. Shopfronts framed in plain pilasters with imposts
beneath moulded cornices: two retain part-glazed and panelled
doors recessed to left of 3-light plate glass windows between
painted cast-iron colonnettes, over plain risers. Windows on
upper floors are 12-pane sashes with slender glazing bars,
narrow painted sills and flat arches, one altered to 4-light
oriel with cross window. Each house has moulded cornice on
shaped end brackets, matching shopfront cornices.
