Circa 1820-30 row of red brick houses, 5 storeys on high. basement, attics added.
Stone sill courses to ground and 1st floors, wood frieze and moulded eaves cornice,
low pitch gable end slate roofs, 2 windows each to upper floors, sashes 4 panes
wide and 3 panes over door, flat stucco arches. Nos 47 and 49 are lower with later
casements. On ground floor and basement superimposed canted pilastered bay windows,
panelled aprons, projecting cornices. Doors of 4 moulded panels with 2 pane fanlight
in Greek Doric engaged porches - paired with columns to Nos 45 and 47. Victorian
cast iron rails to areas and up double flight of steps to doorways. The sea fronts
of these houses have 3 storey canted bays.

All the listed building on the East Side, from Nos 31 to 115 (odd), including.
Gibson's Hotel, form a group.
