Conservatory attached to left side of Glencaple (Glencaple not included)

Conservatory. Early C20, by Rowse. Painted wood, shallow
pyramidal glazed roof with central lantern. Classical style.
Square plan, with short side-link to house.
3 bays, symmetrical, with Tuscan columns distyle-in-antis, and
shallow frieze with guttae and mutuled cornice. Each bay has a
panelled plinth, the centre bay has a doorway with a slender
pilastered architrave and side lights, the outer bays have
multi-pane glazing, all these windows have metal glazing bars
and tilting openings in the bottom tier, and each bay has a
2-tiered multi-pane overlight with criss-cross glazing bars.
The roof has a broad but shallow lantern with one tier of
small square lights, all with radiating metal glazing bars and
tilting openings; and a shallow pyramidal glazed roof with an
apex finial.
INTERIOR: tiled floor; multipane glazed screen wall to the
house.
