House. Early C19. Timber-framed and ashlar rendered with slate
hipped roof with lead ridge and hips.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range; with large
catslide-roofed rear block. The front (south) elevation has a
stack through each flank roof and a 16-pane sash window either
side of a central 12-pane sash on 1st floor. The ground floor
has central doorcase with paired, thin fluted shafted
pilasters and 3 stone steps. The rear block has projecting
gablet over staircase.
INTERIOR: numerous contemporary interior details including
marble fireplace in west ground-floor room and pine fire
surround in rear kitchen. The dogleg staircase has stick
balusters, column newels and segmental rear stair arch. The
unusual catslide-roofed block has 1st floor over only part of
the space, like a contemporary agricultural granary.
