Chapel. c1854-6. Possibly by Thomas Haycock. Brick with stone
dressings and Welsh slate roof. Nave with 2 aisles, chancel.
Simple Early English style. Doorways to east and west of north
wall, with small shafts to moulded archway. Paired lancet
windows between the doorways. Central belfry corbelled out on
west wall, which has central buttress flanked by lancet
windows. Squared chancel, with triple lancets to east window.
INTERIOR: 4-bay arcade, with shallow arches on plain piers.
Curved principal roofs, with curved under-principals to
collars. Feet of common rafters to nave roof extend below
roof-line, therefore open to aisles immediately above the wall
plate. Simple chamfered chancel arch. Original, plain
chamfered wood furniture and fittings throughout, including
pews, pulpit and candelabra torcheres.
