Girls' school. 1829. Paid for by Hannah Rawson. Mid and late
C19 additions. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and
stone slate roof with single ridge and 2 gable coped stone
stacks. 2 storeys; 3 window range. L-plan. Windows are boarded
up and door blocked. First floor has 2 windows with stone
lintels, then above the door, a plaque inscribed "This school
for girls was built at the sole expense of Miss Hannah Rawson
of Ward's End, endowed with ยป10 per annum, A D 1829". To
right, a later window. Below, 2 windows with stone lintels,
then a door with plain stone surround and cornice, then
another window. INTERIOR not inspected.
