Vicarage, now a mental handicap hostel. c1835, converted 1984.
Ashlar and dressed stone with hipped slate roof and 2 coped
stone ridge stacks. Classical Revival style.
Plinth, first floor band, sillband, modillion eaves, pediment.
2 storeys; 3 window range. Slightly projecting centre under
pediment with a 12 pane sash with moulded surround and
cornice. On either side, single 12 pane sashes. Greek Doric
portico with double leaf glazed door in coved surround. On
either side, a 15 pane sash. Right return has similar
fenestration with 3 windows on each floor. Left return has a
round-headed stair window. Rear has similar fenestration with
steps to a central taller sash with engaged flanking columns
and hood. To right, a 2 storey service wing, 3 windows.
INTERIOR has a cantilevered dogleg stone stair with cast-iron
balusters and moulded handrail.
Outside, to left, an S-curved wall, ashlar and brick, with
slab coping, containing a round-headed doorway. To left, a
pair of rusticated square gate piers with pyramidal caps.
