Also known as: Old Vicarage ST AGNES' CLOSE.
Rectory, now educational support unit. 1842. Stucco with
hipped slate roofs and 2 rendered ridge stacks.
Ashlar plinth, corner pilasters. Windows are mainly original
glazing bar sashes. 2 storeys; 4 x 3 bays. Square plan. Garden
front to south, has to right a 2 storey bow window with 3
sashes on each floor, the larger ground floor sashes margin
glazed. To left, 3 windows on each floor. Entrance front, to
east, has a central square porch with corner pilasters and
entablature, and blocked side openings. To right a sash, and
to left, a blank. above, a small sash flanked by blanks.
North side has a recessed centre flanked by pilasters, and 3
windows on each floor.
INTERIOR retains original stone cantilever open well staircase
with landings and elaborate cast-iron balusters, 2 per tread,
to scrolled wooden handrail. Open well rear stair with stick
balusters. Main rooms have moulded cornices. 2 plain painted
slate fireplaces on each floor.
