Public house, probably originally 2 dwellings. 2 distinct
phases, the earlier building to the left with elevation to
Cross Hill. Late C17 to early C18, with later C18 addition to
right. Timber-framed and render over brick with plain tiled
roofs. Older building is 2 storeys, with attic dormers, and
2-window range. Off-centre entrance with 2-light casement
windows to left, a 6-pane sash window to right. Paired
casement windows above. Former internal partition wall of
timber exposed in gable, where adjacent building has at some
time been demolished. Later addition to right built on curve.
4-window range. Doorway to left and three 4-pane sash windows
to ground floor. Similar windows above, one blind. Dentilled
eaves, gable end stacks.
