Pair of town houses, now consulting rooms. Late C18; altered.
Red brick in Flemish bond (roof not visible). Double-depth
plan, each house single-fronted, with coupled back extensions.
Three storeys over cellars, 6 bays, symmetrical, (each house
with 3 windows), with plinth, and altered cornice.
Round-headed doorways adjoining in the centre, with
open-pedimented Tuscan doorcases, panelled doors and
semi-circular fanlights; all windows have raised sills and
flat-arched heads, but the glazing differs: No.18 has sashes
with 4 panes at ground floor, 12 panes at 1st floor and 9
panes above, but No.20 has altered glazing at ground floor,12-pane sashes at 1st floor and 9-pane top-hung casements at 2nd floor. Interior not inspected. Forms part of terrace on north side of street.
