(Easternmost 13 Bays)
GV II
Boathouse. Built in 1917 by Augustine Alban Hamilton Scott (1878-1944) for the
Thorneycroft firm to build fast launches carrying torpedoes for the Admiralty.
Open shed on upright posts set in concrete padstones. Owing to the curved
slipway this shed had a most unusual curved roof of Belfast trusses with passing
braces and cross ties. Remainder of this boathouse (apart from 13 easternmost
bays) not of special interest, having been rebuilt.
