House, latterly 3 dwellings. Late C16 and early C17, altered C19 and C20.
Timber frame, plastered. Thatched roof. Earlier 3 bays to left with later 2
bay parlour cross wing to right to form an L on plan. 2 storeys with attic
over cross wing. A glazed door to right of early section, ground floor C20
casements, first floor three 2-light glazing bar casements. Roof hipped to
front right replacing cross wing gable. A C19 ridge stack inserted in right
bay of early section. Left end internal stack and a pantiled lean-to outshut,
exposed plates and purlins. Right return C19 external stack. Cross wing
extends to rear with a large gable end C18 external stack, flanking brick
ovens with double offsets. A slate roofed lean-to to rear left. Interior:
altered crossed stop chamfered binding beams in parlour, first floor stop
chamfered jowled posts, close studding in both sections, parlour chamber
cranked arched braces in walls and to tie beam, arched windbraces in parlour
roof, main roof concealed.
