In memory of John Avery of Hookway Esqr. who lieth interred in Witheridge church and died ye 31 st of October in ye 51st year of his age Anno Dni 1693, also in memory of Anne his wife daughter of Abraham Fugars of this parish gent, who died ye 27 day of November 1703 in ye 45th year of her age, and was buried in this church
