C16. Cube-shaped with a pyramid roof surmounted by a square wood turret with
lead pyramid top. The roofing is red tile and on the north side is a small
gabled dormer resting on the eaves. Walling is in deep red small bricks (mainly
English bond), being about 2 feet thick. Inside there are 10 tiers of pigeon
holes; outside there are small openings with little ledges, at 3 levels, on 3
faces. On the west side is a low doorway with a massive timber-frame; the east
side has a wider arched opening, which includes the extra thickness of the kit-
chen garden wall. An upper floor is a later insertion (with the dormer).
