House. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. C17 part of timber
frame with plastered infill, part replaced by brick (to front) and flint
(to sides), now pebble-dashed; remainder pebble-dashed. Plain tile roofs.
Brick stack. Central baffle-entry plan; 2 storeys, 2 bays, with rear outshut;
1952 rear addition not of special interest. Metal-framed mid-20 windows
and part-glazed door. Central ridge stack, base rendered, top rebuilt. Interior:
central chimney has later fireplaces. On ground floor chamfered spine. beams
(with step cyma joists); old joists and old floor boards; part of rear rail.
On first floor exposed members of timber frame include jowelled wall posts,
studs, wall plates, and central partition; Roof has central collared queen-post
truss, and late 018/early C19 unsawn rafters and plank ridge.
