Farmhouse. Late C17/early CIB origins, late C18 range to farmyard with later
additions, and early Cl9 range to garden. Flemish bond brick with dentil
cornice. Plain-tile roofs, Brick ridge stacks. Irregular plan, Symmetrical
garden front of 2 storeys; 3-window range. Late C20 brick porch has half-glazed
doors with stone columns inside. Sashes have gauged brick flat arches. Ripped
roof, Front to yard has 2-storey 2-window central range. Flush 6-panelled door
has moulded wood surround and rendered lintel with keyblock. 3-light wood
mullioned and transomed windows. First floor has a C20 window to second bay.
3-storey I-bay addition to left is the same height. Cross windows and 3-light
second-floor window. Hipped roof. Lower C19 two-storey I-bay range projects on
right. 2-light window and horizontal sash above. C19 lean-to in angle has
3-light window. Most windows have glazing bars. Interior: range to garden has
reeded wood architraves with corner roundels. Late C17/early C18 transverse
straight flight staircase in the centre of the house has cut-out splat balusters
and a panelled dado. Rear range has chamfered beams. Large segmental -arched
former open fireplace.
