L-shaped building. The older part, No 52 is a C16 timber framed building of
2 storeys, 3 windows. High pitched tiled roof. Compound ridge stack, cornice
in several planes. Tile hung 1st floor. Exposed timber framing on ground floor,
some plaster filling and some brick. Coursed freestone foundation. Small C1
and modern casements. Inside old plank floors and stairs, remains of diagonal
mullioned window and 2 old doors. No 53 probably C17 and altered. 2-storeys,
1-window left part under half-hipped gable. 2-window 1st floor, C19 red brick
ground floor with blue headers. Modern square paned casements and door under
cornice hood.
