Pair of almshouses, now derelict. 1690. Red brick. Pantile
roof, partially collapsed to north, decorated eaves and single
central ridge stack. Single storey and garret, 4 bay front with
2 central doorways, side by side, with moulded brick rusticated
architraves and large, emphatically angled brick keystones,
segmental heads and plank doors. Single window beyond each
doorway, to left and right, both with moulded brick rusticated
architraves, large, emphatically angled brick keystones and 3
light casements. Return walls both with 2 dentillated bands and
single garret windows without window frames. A good example of
small scale use of Fen Artisan Mannerist style.
