Two houses, one incorporating shop. Early C19. Brick with ashlar front, Welsh slate
roof and brick ridge and south end stacks. Three storeys. No 9 2 windows wide. No 4
High Street East 4 windows wide, with curved north-west corner. Cornice throughout.
No 9 has door to right with rectangular fanlight over, and 2 storey canted bay to
left. Sash windows with glazing bars otherwise. No 4 High Street East has similar
sash windows except at corner where it has 2-light casement windows with glazing bars,
that to first floor full-length and having an overlight with lozenge-pattern glazing
bars. Similar overlight above entrance on corner which is framed by fluted Doric
columns. Similar columns to either end of shop windows to north and west. Curved
fascia overall, carrying model of plough.
