C17 altered C18 and later. 2 storey and attic. Painted brick, Raised brick
quoins, painted moulded soe string, 1st floor. Moulded and bracketed eaves
cornice. Old tile roof. 3 hipped dormer casements. Main part of front -
5 windows on 1st floor. 4 windows on ground floor (the right hand recently
altered to a doorway with a very poor glazed secondary door), and 6-panel
central door, good knocker. Rectangular fanlight, tall panelled reveal to
opening. Plain C18 surround with dentilled cornice, disfigured by modern
sun blind case. Fluted blocks at doorhead level. Tall flanking chimneys,
left hand of rusticated brick and probably modern. Extension left hand (same
roof) 4 windows on 1st floor, 2 windows on ground floor and 1 modern garage
door, and house door of fielded panels in modern pilaster case.
No 8A also under same roof as Nos 7 and 7A but with rendered front. Canted
C19 bay window on 1st floor with panelled apron. Garage doors on ground floor
and modern house door. Lower colourwashed brick wing to rear, 3 sash windows
glazing bars intact.

All the listed buildings in the Close form an outstanding group.
