C14 origin. Choristers Hall. Late C18 refronting. 2 storeys colourwashed
brick, flipped old tile roof, stone bracketed eaves cornice. Symmetrical
front. 5 square window on 1st floor, 4 on ground floor, recessed sashes,
no glazing bars, keystones over. Central door of 6 fielded panels in architrave
frame, plain arched fanlight, plain stone surround with projecting imposts
and keystone. East range to rear has large canted bay window on 1st floor.
The east range appears to be earliest part and has remains of 5 bay hammerbeam
roof.
All the listed buildings in the Close form an outstanding group.
