Formerly Canal Lodge.
Originally built as lock keeper's house for the Kennet and Avon Canal set
parallel to canal adjacent to the Town Bridge gv. Early C19 2 storeys Bath
stone on projecting plinth. Low pitch hipped slate roof, flat bracketed eaves.
The south front has one 2 light recessed casement and recessed door to right
of 4 flush panels. The east front is canted with three 2 light casements
to each floor. All windows small paned with raised stone surround. Spy-hole
window on ground floor, west side, with view of canal.
