Farmhouse; a late C16 2-storey parlour block to left, and a lower hall range
to right of C17 with C18 alterations. Timber-framed and plastered; much of
the close-scudded framing is exposed externally. Plaintiled roofs; axial
C17/C18 chimney of red brick. Flat-roofed early C20 casement dormers. Mainly
C20 small-pane casements. Boarded and battened entrance door with lean-to open
porch on posts. The parlour has good quality C16 framing, including an ovolo-
moulded bridging joist and roll-moulded common joists. Back-to-back open
fireplaces in hall and parlour. Framing in hall range is poorer and later,
with some C18 work including the roof (which reuses mediaeval rafters).
