A Grade I Listed Building in Upton, Slough

Window, south aisle

Uploader's Comments

This set of stained-glass windows commemorates the astronomer Sir William Herschel who is entombed in the church. The top window shows his most famous discovery the planet Uranus. The other two windows depict the Sun, the Moon, the other planets known in his lifetime and Herschel himself is shown at his telescope which was sighted in Slough in the bottom left.
