Former tram shed. Probably c.1909, for Leeds City Tramways; altered. Rock-faced sandstone with ashlar dressings, roof of composition tiles. Long rectangular plan with set back canted wings for vehicle entrances. Classical style. Two unequal storeys and nineteen bays (plus one-bay wings), symmetrical, with projecting three-bay centre; rusticated quoins, first floor band at a high level; large vertical-rectangular windows at ground floor, with raised moulded sills and flat-arched heads with triple keystones (centre rock-faced); between the windows in the projected centre, raised rock-faced vertical panels with central roundels; square windows at first floor (except in projected centre), with rock-faced lintels. Prominent cornice and low parapet. At each end, set back wing has large flat-arched vehicle doorway with triple keystone and splayed voussoirs (alternately rock-faced). Left end wall has three windows, with panels between them, which are horizontal but otherwise like those at front; high parapet with panel of raised lettering: "LEEDS CITY TRAMWAYS".
