Early C19 symmetrical block of houses. 3 storeys and semi basement in red
brick. Low pitch gable and slated roof. 1st floor narrow stone sill course.
Each house has 2 windows to upper floors and 1 window to ground floor recessed
sash, glazing bars intact, block sills to ground and 2nd floors. Ground and
1st floor windows have stepped stone voussoir heads. At 2nd floor level,
between windows are rectangular panels with delicate swag and rosette ornament.
Recessed floors of 6 moulded panels, 2 panels glazed, set in stone surrounds
with cornice and blocking course on cut scroll brackets, the cornice broken
forward over brackets. The ground floor accessible from terrace raised above
road level over semi basement. Central double stair approach, flanked by
square brick piers and arch with stone coping and central finial. The piers
flanked by lower brick walls (the right hand one now rendered) with coping
and plain rails, 4 hatch openings in walls. End walls of terrace swept up
to main front and similar angle piers formerly with stone ball finials.
