Estate cottage and attached garden walls. Dated 1856, for Lord Enfield. Red brick
in Flemish bond, Welsh slate roof. Cottage 1½ storeys, 3 bays with rear outshut;
walls attached on east side turn to enclose rectangular garden. Cottage: chamfered
plinth and eaves. Openings have chamfered surrounds with gauged brick arches and
dripmoulds, the windows small-paned and with wooden mullions. Brick kneelers to
raised verges with brick coping. Tall stacks with clustered flues and cogged
cornices. Entrance elevation: left bay projects and is gabled, having a 3-light
window to ground floor and 2-light window above. To its right, on angle, is gabled
porch having timber superstructure on brick plinth, decorative bargeboards to
arch-braced gable, half-glazed double door to internal half-glazed door. 2-light
window to right. Stacks to left side, main ridge on left, and rear right. Right
return: canted bay window with windows of 1, 2, 1 lights; 2-light window over;
datestone in gable. Garden walls varies in height and has rounded brick coping,
gateway in line with porch and a 2-centred-arched doorway with board door at
south-east corner.
