Public house, former private house. Probably late C17, refurbished in C19.
Plastered rubble; rubble stacks with C19 brick chimney shafts; coated old slate
roof. 2 room (originally) 3 room plan house facing south west. 3 rear lateral
stacks. 2 storeys. Originally symmetrical 3-window front of late C19 casements
with glazing bars. First floor centre window is blind. Former central door and
ground floor right window are demolished behind C20 single storey extension. Roof
is hipped each end. Tall chimney shafts to rear.
Interior much altered. Stone rubble fireplace with seats on each side and high
plain oak lintel from former central room and to right part of a large kitchen
fireplace with brick side oven is exposed; both are probably late C17. Roof not
inspected. Included for group value.
