Circa 1830-40. 2 storeys red brick house on stone plinth. Stone chamfered
quoins. Stone sill course. Low pitch nipped slate roof, wide boxed eaves.
3 windows, recessed, sash, no glazing bars, camber headed, block sills to
ground floor. Central doorway, converted to French window, with semi-circular
fanlight, small keystone over. Wing to north and single storey 3 sided
entrance bay inserted at later date in angle with main block. The door
may well be the original one moved to the new entrance: 6 moulded panels
centre ones circular the other panels curved accordingly at base and top.
South front of main block has 2 sash windows, glazing bars intact. Fine
trees in garden.
The Girls Hostel and Bellevue Cottage form a group.
