Well cistern, in river bank. Medieval origins, date of present work unknown. Lias stone enclosure about one metre
square, the wall itself about 300 mm square, only a little above water line. A sulphurous well long used for medicinal
purposes, probably a focal point in part of the old village of Queen Camel which was mostly destroyed fire in l639.
