House and shop. Early C19 with a fragmentary older core.
Timber-framed with painted roughcast render; plaintiled roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics. One sash window on the 1st
storey with a single vertical glazing bar in a flush moulded
cased frame. An early C20 shop front to the ground storey, the
window divided by vertical bars into 3 lights; a glazed door
with rectangular fanlight to one side. Doorcase with plain
pilasters, fascia with cornice. On the extreme right, an early
C19 doorway with plain pilasters and cornice has a slightly
recessed 6-panelled door, the top 2 panels glazed.
INTERIOR: alterations to the layout imply an older core, but
no earlier features are exposed except part of one large
chamfered main beam.
Part of a significant group in Churchgate Street and included
for group value.
