Former lodge, gate piers and
boundary wall to Etruria House Hotel

Lodge, now house, and adjoining boundary wall and gate piers.
1876. Built for John Armitage, manufacturer of decorative
fireclay products. Yellow brick with moulded fireclay
dressings and steep pitched slate roof. Single storey plus
attics; 2 window range. Drive side has to left a door with
overlight, and to right a plain sash, both with segmental
heads. Left return has a blocked door flanked by single
windows, the left one segment-headed, all with enriched
surrounds. Above, each return has an enriched brick dormer
with segmental pediment and ball finial.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Adjoining brick boundary wall has pierced quatrefoil fireclay
coping, round fireclay gate piers and wrought-iron gates.
