House, now offices. 1794-95, with late C19 and C20 additions
and alterations. Brick with ashlar dressings and hipped and
gabled concrete tile roofs with 2 coped ridge stacks. Eaves
cornice.
2 storeys; 5 window range. Windows are 12 pane sashes, mostly
with brick flat arches. Central sash has moulded stone
surround and balustraded dummy balcony. Central doorcase with
Doric piers and entablature with C20 6-panel door and
fanlight. On each side, 2 windows. To left, a late C19 single
storey billiard room with gabled slate roof. Plinth,
pilasters, balustrade and shaped gable. 3 large 12 pane
sashes. Right return, 3 windows, has central blank and below,
a late C19 canted bay window with balustrade and three 12 pane
sashes. Rear elevation has 2 pedimented gables and a central
Venetian stair window, with a C20 door below it. To right, a 2
storey rear wing.
INTERIOR has entrance hall with modillion cornice and moulded
span beam carried on Ionic piers. Cantilevered wooden dogleg
stair with twisted vase and stem balusters and ramped scrolled
handrail.
