Boundary wall and railing. 1875. Probably by Innocent & Brown
for the Sheffield School Board. Rock-faced stone with ashlar
dressings and cast-iron railing. Plinth with chamfered coping
carrying cast-iron railing, with square stone piers with
chamfered ashlar caps. Cavendish Street range has to right a
pair of cast-iron gates, and to left, an angled corner.
Broomspring Lane range has to left, a wooden gate to the
caretaker's house, and beyond, 2 sections of railing replaced
by a wooden fence.
An ancillary building to Springfield Junior and Infant Schools
(qv). Included for group value.
