Barn. Circa early C18. Weatherboarded timber-frame on English bond red brick plinth. Corrugated-iron roof with half-hipped ends and hipped porch.
PLAN: 5-bay barn with aisle on west side and opposing cart-entrances in centre bay, the west entrance blocked.
EXTERIOR: East front has full-height double-doors to cart entrance. Rear [W] roof carried down over aisle to low eaves; blocked cart entrance at centre with hipped roof.
INTERIOR: 5-bays and aisle on west side. Arcade and wall-posts with cut jowls and slightly curved braces to tie-beams and arcade-plates. Tie-beam trusses with raking struts clasping the purlins. Short straight wind-braces. Common-rafter couples complete. Wall-framing without mid-rail and with large studs, some re-used timber. Later loft floor inserted into north bay.
