FELBRIDGE
EASTBOURNE ROAD (off)
Park Farm House
II
Farmhouse, c1916, undoubtedly by Sir Edwin Lutyens and probably part of his plans for Felbridge
Place of which otherwise only the two service buildings, the kennels and stables, were executed.
Vernacular Revival style. Built of brown brick in English bond. Tiled roof, hipped to end
projecting wings and swept low to centre under central large panelled brick stack. Two storeys
(except for centre); 5 windows. Centre has continuous 5-light casement and doorcase with
pilasters and flat wooden weatherhood. Wings have 2 casements. Rear elevation is similar but has
central loggia on brick piers and hipped dormer. Interior has fine staircase hall built around the
large central chimneystack. Staircase has stick balusters and incorporates a gallery. Two panelled
doors.
