Lodge, early C19 ashlar with low-pitched hipped roof behind parapet
and stack at original south end. Single storey front set behind
4-column Roman Doric portico with entablature continued as cornice
on main building. Pilaster responds at outer angles, 16-pane sash
each side of centre 6-panel door. Matching one-window section to
left, probably added, with plinth and cornice carried round and 16-
pane sash. Attached to lodge are two rusticated ashlar gate piers
with corniced caps, linked to roadside by short lengths of ashlar
coped curved wall. Lodge was one of a pair, the other, converted
to house, is Church Lane Lodge (q.v.).
