and gate piers

Former lodge to Seend House, early C19, ashlar with low-pitched
slate roof and north end stack. Single storey with cornice and
parapet. Four-column Roman Doric portico with entablature in
front of 16-pane sash each side of centre 6-panel door. Matching
one-window section to right with plinth and cornice carried round
and 16-pane sash. Red brick C19 and C20 extensions behind, single
storey, linking to 2-storey range with half-hipped roof, the rear
wall built up from rubble stone wall along Church Lane (q.v.).
Attached to lodge are two rusticated ashlar gate piers with
corniced caps, short lengths of curved wall each side out to road.
