and gates
GV II
Gate piers and gates, 1812. Two corniced ashlar piers with reeded
angles and incised lozenge decoration carrying iron overthrow with
lamp. Pair of spearhead iron gates with quatrefoil frieze over
dog-bars and top rails ramped down to centre and urn finials to
centre and outer uprights. Similar spearhead rails to kissing-
gate to left. Gates were made by J. Burt of Devizes.
