G.V. II

Cottage. Late C17, late C18. South west wing added late C19.
Timber framing, coursed rubble and brick. Whitewashed. Pantile
roofs. Rubble plinth. 2 ridge and single side wall stacks.
Single storey plus attics, 2 bays wide by 3 bays deep. L-plan.
Street front has to left, a casement and to right, mid C20 door
flanked by single Yorkshire sashes. East gable has door to left
and casement to right. Above, to left, a Yorkshire sash. South
front has a casement and to its right, Yorkshire sash flanked by
single close boarded doors. Above, a sloping dormer. Return
angle, to left, has Yorkshire sash flanked by single doors, all
with segmental heads. Above, 2 sloping dormers. East and south
sides have continuous glazed porches, mid C20. Interior has pair
of bay posts with tie beam, chamfered span beam, and stud wall.
Brick winder stair with stick balusters. Softwood winder stair
with square newel and similar balusters. Single beaded plank
door. Was divided into 2 cottages till 1956.
