Pair of Belvoir Angels headstones. 1728. Slate. That to left slightly tapered with incised angel at head. To Hannah Cooke, sister to Will Wilsons wife. d. Mar 4th 1728 aet 48. Text -Blessed are they that in the Lord do die / From their labours they rest eternal / O that they were wise thinking on this / That when they die dear Christ (submerging)-. That to right has square head with incised Belvoir angel and text -To Die is Gain-. 6 lines verse. To Page the son of Henry Smith (by Ja)ne his wife both here (interred. He) departed this life (month, day, 172)8 in the 20th year of his age. –(Farewel de)ar friends, farewel I say / (My Sav)iour called I must away / (Death) doth not always warning give / (Therefo)re be careful how you live / (Repen)t in time, no time delay / (Think how soon I was) called away-.
