Farmhouse and adjoining cottage. Early-mid C19, modernised 1984. Plastered
rubble; rubble stacks with C19 brick tops; slate roof. Gable-ended range facing
south-east with double-depth 2-room house to right (north-east) and similar 1-room
cottage to left. End stack to right and axial stack between house and cottage.
Overall 5-window front of 16-pane sashes with main door towards right; 4-panel
door and overlight with glazing bars, panelled reveals and Doric porch. Cottage
door at left end with flat-roofed hood on shaped consoles. Right end with 1 window
is recessed slightly from main front to give the rest symmetry. Wide central
section between house and cottage formerly included blind windows. Front garden is
enclosed by cast iron railings on rubble footings. The rails have fleur de lys
finials and alternate rails have hoops over.
