Farmhouse, now house. Circa 1634, with early-to-mid C19 fenestration.
Timber framed, with (possibly largely C17) red brick infilling.
Plain tile roof. Lobby entry plan of 4 timber-framed bays; two to left
and one to right of stack bay. Short separately-framed rear wing to
right of centre, of a similar date. 2 storeys, on flint and stone
plinth. Continuous jetty, on solid-spandrel brackets with ovolo-
moulded bases, returned along right gable end on similarly-moulded
dragon post. Long right side of rear wing also jettied. Broadly-
spaced framing to first floor of front elevation, divided into two
panels to storey height by pegged rails at uneven levels. Two tension
braces to left end bay and one to right. Hipped roof to front range,
and to rear of rear wing. Front range has gable-end stack to left,
and multiple brick stack in rear slope of roof to right of centre.
Projecting brick gable end stack to rear wing. Irregular fenestration
of 3 Gothick casements; one two-light to each end bay and one three-
light to left-central bay. Three similar casements to ground floor
of front range, and one to first floor of left side of rear wing.
Boarded door up two steps under stack. Short lean-to in angle between
front range and wing. Two-storey C20 addition to right side of wing.
Interior: only partly inspected. Plain-chamfered beams and joists
to ground-floor rooms. Painted brick fireplace with long bressumer
to right side of stack. Early C20 painting of house shows panel to
base of first floor of stack bay dated 16(3/5?)4.
