Farmhouse, dated 1729, now house. Coursed sandstone with quoins,
whitewashed, stone slate roof with gable chimneys. Two-bay plan
with continuous outshut to rear under catslide roof. Two low storeys;
in the centre a wide single-storey gabled porch which has a moulded
doorway offset to the left, small round opening in the gable, a
2-light window in the right side wall, a stone side bench and an
inner door with date stone over it lettered IA . There is one
1729
window each floor on each side of the porch, all with straight heads
and sills, and chamfered mullions, those at ground floor with hoodmoulds,
but otherwise differing: left, 2 square casements with glazing bars, and
five small lights above; right, five lights at ground floor, 4 above. At
right side is a single-storey lean-to and a 3-light 1st floor window.
Rear is very low single storey with long runs of chamfered mullion
windows: 5 lights to 1st bay, 7 lights to 2nd bay (centre light square,
flanked by king mullions). Interior: 2nd bay has a large beam to the
outshut, and at 1st floor 2 very large windbraced purlins; outshut to
2nd bay appears to be addition.
